Press Start to open your profile settings, then set the Controller setting to Drums. Map the pads and kick to their respective inputs in the control mapper: Mapping Map the D-pad to Strum Up/Down and Left/Right, and the Start/Select buttons to Start and Select. Use the Controller column on the right to configure your controls. Press Space on the main menu to open the control mapper. For Windows, a program called Minatsuki lets you do so, but it may have some input latency and requires you to install Python to run it.
